The album was released in 1987 and sold 25 million copies across the globe. The album that followed it in 1987 Whitney that included hits Where Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built on her success but it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard (1992) that sealed her place as one of the best-selling artists of all time. Even though the movie and actress' performance were not much praised, her soundtrack album that featured her interpretation of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the top-selling single and albums for many months. It sold over 44 million copies around the world. Her daughter Bobbi is born the month of March of 1993, the year following her wedding to Bobby Brown.
